Former India captain and current Delhi Capitals (DC) cricket director Sourav Ganguly gave a big update on Rishabh Pant’s health. At the end of December last year, Pant became the victim of a horrific car accident.

The left-handed player suffered serious injuries in the accident. Although he has been out of cricket since then, Pant has recently started training.

Ganguly has now assured that Pant, who plays for DC in the Indian Premier League (IPL), will play in the upcoming season of T20 Mahakumbh. Ganguly said that Delhi Capitals have started their training for IPL 2024, but Pant is not currently practicing with the team.

Ganguly told India Today, ‘Rishabh Pant is in good condition. He will play from next season. He won’t practice right now. He is in NCA till 11 November. We discussed the team with Pant as he is the captain of the team in view of the upcoming auction.

Sourav Ganguly Gave Important Information

Rishabh Pant played his last international match on the Bangladesh tour in December 2022, after which he became a victim of a road accident. Currently, Rishabh Pant is undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Fans will not only see Rishabh Pant playing on the field in IPL 2024 but will also be seen as the captain of Delhi Capitals.

Pant is not part of the Indian cricket team in the Cricket World Cup (CWC23) as he was unable to recover in time for the mega event. Talking about Team India, it is unbeaten in the current World Cup 2023 by winning 8 out of 8 matches and its most recent win is against South Africa.
