Yuzvendra Chahal Reacts Recall For ODI Series Against South Africa: The Indian cricket team is ready to go on a tour of South Africa, where they have to play three T20s, three ODIs and two Tests.

For this tour, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced Team India for all formats of South Africa starting from December 10.

Yuzvendra Chahal has returned to the ODI team after a long wait for the South Africa tour. Chahal was not included in the team first for Asia Cup 2023 and then for World Cup 2023. Chahal’s reaction has come to light after returning to Team India.

India’s tour of South Africa 2023-24 includes a three-match T20I series, a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been rested from both ODIs and T20s and hence KL Rahul will captain the team in ODIs and Suryakumar Yadav will captain the team in T20s.

The tour will begin with a three-match T20 series in Durban, Gkebarha and Johannesburg on 10, 12 and 14 December. The teams will then face each other in a three-match One Day International series in Johannesburg, Gkebarha and Paarl on 17, 19 and 21 December.

The Men in Blue and the Proteas will then play two Test matches to conclude the series, with the first match starting on December 26 in Centurion. The second and final Test will start on January 3 in Cape Town.

KL Rahul Will Captain In The ODIs Against South Africa

KL Rahul will captain India in the ODIs against South Africa in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma, as both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli requested leave for the white-ball leg of the tour. Apart from this, Sai Sudarshan has been called for the first time and Sanju Samson and Rajat Patidar have returned to the team.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Verma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar have all returned to the ODI team.

Yuzvendra Chahal has been overlooked by the BCCI on several occasions for important tournaments, which is why he missed the T20 World Cup in 2021 and 2022 and then the recent ICC Cricket World Cup in 2023. After this, he was also not included in the current Indian T20I team currently playing against Australia.
