The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 semi-finals could be held at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata and the famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This tournament will run from October 5 to November 19 in India.

These two excellent cricket grounds make a good combination for the two semi-final matches in this flagship event of the ICC, which comes once in four years.

Eden Gardens also hosted the 1987 World Cup final, which was won by the Australian cricket team under the captaincy of Allan Border.

Whereas, the 2011 ODI World Cup final was held at the Wankhede Stadium, in which Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit the famous six to give India the 50-over title for the second time.

The final match of the World Cup 2023 will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Information received from sources also confirms that the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be held in 12 cities in India, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram.

Thus a total of 48 matches will be played over 46 days, consisting of three knockout games, two semi-finals, and a final. All the remaining matches will be played in the league stage.

The league matches will be played across 10 cities in India, with two more cities hosting warm-up matches before the start of the main event.

It is being told that big cricket centers like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru will play 5-5 matches of the World Cup, and the much-awaited match between India Vs Pakistan Worlds Cup 2023 Match will be played at the Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

According to an official tracking the development, ‘The venues of the two semi-finals have been changed from Bengaluru and Chennai to Mumbai and Kolkata and the rest remain unchanged. The final match will be played in Ahmedabad only.
