The Duleep Trophy will be played in Bengaluru from June 28 to July 16. The BCCI will not have much international cricket work during this time. The Indian team will leave for the West Indies tour during this period. In such a situation, there will be time for domestic cricket.

Recently, Kishan was sent to England for the World Test Championship. However, KS Bharath was selected before him in the playing XI there. Kishan was included in the team due to injuries to Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul.

According to PTI, a source in the East Zone has said that had Ishan Kishan played, he could have been made the captain because of his consistent performance for India in white-ball cricket.

Chakraborty told Ishan Kishan over the phone that he was not interested in playing in the Duleep Trophy. They didn’t tell us whether he was hurt or not, it just came to light that he didn’t want to play.

In the absence of Kishan, now the captaincy of East Zone has been given to Easwaran. Kishan Kishan can also be included in the team on the West Indies tour.

Indian team stars Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul will not be there on the Windies tour. Both are injured. In this situation, Kishan can be included in Team India once again.
