IPL’s 1st Centurion: The difficulty of Brendon McCullum, who scored the first century in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, has increased.

England head coach Brendon McCullum has landed in trouble for appearing in advertisements for online betting.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is investigating whether this is a breach of its anti-corruption rules.

Former New Zealand cricket team captain Brendon McCullum became the brand ambassador of betting organization ’22bet’ in January.

After this, he also appeared in its online advertisements. Brendon McCullum shared a video on their Facebook page. In this, he is seen promoting 22bet in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to the BBC, the ECB said, ‘We are investigating this matter and discussing with Brendan his relationship with 22bet. We have rules regarding betting and always ensure they are thoroughly followed.

The ECB, however, clarified that McCullum isn’t currently under any work-related investigation. The Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand (PGFN) made a complaint to the ECB about these ads last week.

England has beaten 10 of the previous 12 Tests since McCullum took over as coach. Brendon McCullum scored a century in the opening match of the inaugural edition of IPL.

Brendon McCullum played an unbeaten 158 in the inaugural match of the inaugural edition of IPL (2008). He hit 10 fours and 13 sixes during his 73-ball innings.

With the help of Brendon McCullum’s stormy century, Kolkata Knight Riders won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by a huge margin of 140 runs.

Batting first after losing the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 222 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. The entire team of Royal Challengers Bangalore were bundled out for 82 runs in 15.2 overs.

For KKR, Ajit Agarkar took 3 for 25 in 4 overs and captain Sourav Ganguly took 2 for 21 in 4 overs. Ashok Dinda took 2 wickets for 9 runs in 3 overs. Ishant Sharma and Laxmiratan Shukla were also successful in taking one wicket each.
