KL Rahul Injury Update: KL Rahul’s Surgery Was Successful, Said On Twitter – Now I Am On Way To Recover Fast:

India opener and famous cricketer KL Rahul has undergone successful surgery on his right thigh. This was confirmed by the right-handed batsman himself late on Tuesday 9th May 2023.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul took to social media to give an update about his surgery. KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining matches of IPL 2023 and the WTC final due to a thigh injury.

KL Rahul wrote in his Instagram post, ‘Hello everyone. I got my surgery done. It has been successfully done.

Many thanks to the specialist doctors & medical staff for making sure I was very comfortable & everything went smoothly. I’m officially on my way to healing now. I’m determined to do my best & get back on the field’.

Unlike the previous few years, Cricketer KL Rahul worked for form in IPL 2023. Like other formats of the game, his performance in IPL 2023 too has not been impressive. The Indian batsman was dropped from the Test team after a series of failures in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

However, due to injuries to Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant, he was retained in the squad for the final of the World Test Championship. He was expected to be selected in the playing XI against Australia in the WTC final, but injury ruled him out.

The News Of Getting Out Of The WTC Final Was Also Given Through Social Media

The final of the WTC will be played at the Oval in London from June 7. KL Rahul had also given the news of being out of the WTC final through social media.

He wrote, ‘Very disappointed that I will not be at The Oval with Team India next month. I’ll do whatever I should to get back in the blue & aid my country.

This has always been my focus & priority. After careful consideration and consultation with the medical team, it has been concluded that I will be undergoing thigh surgery shortly.
