WI Vs IND: Both Indian Openers Jaiswal-Kohli Scored Centuries And Returned Not Out, Team India Has A Big Lead:

WI vs IND: On the second day of the Dominica Test match, the Indian team scored 312 runs for 2 wickets in their first innings. Team India’s total lead has increased to 162 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is at the crease on 143 and Virat Kohli is on 36. The Indian team completely dominated on the second day as well.

In the first session, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal together took the innings forward at a slow pace. In this session, the West Indies players kept craving wickets. There was a century partnership between Rohit Sharma and Jaiswal and both also completed their half-centuries.

In the second session, Rohit Sharma and Jaiswal took advantage of freezing eyes. Both hit weak balls out of the boundary line. Both of them focused on singles and doubles as well.

Jaiswal scored a century in his debut test. He became the 17th Indian to do so. Jaiswal also became the third opener to score a century in the debut test.

Rohit Sharma completed his century after Jaiswal. His 10th century came with the bat in Test cricket. There was a partnership of 229 runs between the two. This was the highest first-wicket partnership for India in the West Indies.

Apart from this, it was the largest participation for India outside Asia. Rohit and Jaiswal broke the record of Sunil Gavaskar and Chetan Sharma (213). For the 11th time in Tests for India, both openers scored a century in an innings.

After the century, Rohit Sharma became the victim of Alyque Ethanze with a personal score of 103. Shubman Gill, who came to play after him, could not take advantage of the batting wicket and went on to score 6 runs. Jaiswal was stuck at one end even after the century.

Virat Kohli took the score forward with Jaiswal and both shared a half-century partnership for the third wicket. Kohli completed 8500 runs in Tests. Team India’s 300 runs were completed before stumps.

Kohli scored 25 runs without a four and then hit the first boundary. India scored 312 runs for 2 wickets till the stumps. Jaiswal returned unbeaten after scoring 143 and Kohli 36 runs. Athanaje and Warican took 1-1 wickets.
