Will VVS Laxman Become Head Coach Of Team India? Big Update Surfaced Before Ireland Tour: Team India has to travel to Ireland after the West Indies tour, where the Indian team has to play a three-match T20 series.

These T20 matches will be played in Dublin on August 18, 20 and 23. Meanwhile, there is news that head coach Rahul Dravid and his support staff will be given a break from the Ireland tour.

Team India will be on a tour of Ireland after the West Indies

Team India is currently on a West Indies tour. After a resounding win in the first Test here, the visitors are set to play another Test, which three ODIs and five T20Is will follow. After a month-long tour, the Indian team will travel to Ireland for three T20 matches.

As per reports in Cricbuzz, Dravid and other members of the Indian support staff will be given a break after the West Indies tour. Other members include batting coach Vikram Rathour and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, while the last two T20Is will be played in the USA.

VVS Laxman can be a coach for the Ireland tour

As per Media Reports said, the support staff is being given a break to prepare for the Asia Cup 2023, which will be followed by the 3-match ODI series against Australia (Aus) and then the World Cup 2023 in a few months.

In the absence of Rahul Dravid, National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief VVS Laxman will step in as coach for the three T20 matches to be held from July 18-23.

Players like Sitanshu Kotak, Troy Cooley, and Sairaj Bahutule along with Laxman

Ready to travel with the Indian team, which could be led by Hardik Pandya. Team India played three T20 matches against Ireland last year as well, in which the Men in Blue won it easily and this year too there will be opportunities for some more youngsters.

Players like Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Rahul Tripathi may get a chance for Ireland T20I, who are not part of the T20 squad scheduled for the Caribbean tour.
