If all goes well, Lucknow Supergiants may get a new coach in the next season of IPL. Former Australian legend Justin Langer is being considered in the race to become the new coach of Lucknow. According to reports, talks are going on in this matter.

According to Cricbuzz, there is currently no reaction from both Lucknow and Langer about this conversation. According to IPL sources, the franchise has held several rounds of talks with Langer. Langer has also coached the Australian team and won the T20 World Cup in the year 2021.

The franchise has not yet accepted the change in the coaching department. No such statement has come from former Australian player Langer as well. If things go well, Langer could replace Andy Flower in Lucknow. Andy’s two-year contract ends this year.

There have been such reports regarding the head coach but there is no scope for change in other coaches. Morne Morkel, Vijay Dahiya, and Jonty Rhodes will persist to play roles of bowling, fielding, and assistant coaches respectively. Gautam Gambhir is in the role of mentor in this team.

Under the coaching of Andy Flower, the performance of Lucknow Super Giants under the captaincy of KL Rahul has been good. Lucknow has made it to the playoffs in both seasons played so far. However, Lucknow Super Giants are still waiting to reach the finals.
